Kittens lovingly raised & socialized underfoot in our home

We are a small cattery dedicated to raising ragdoll kittens underfoot.  Kittens are loved and adored from the time they are born until the time that they go home at approximately 12 weeks of age.  We breed firstly for health and then strive for the "sweet softer" look, docile affectionate temperaments, large size and deep blue eye color.  Our main objective is to provide healthy babies with "purrsonality" to forever pet homes with families that will love and cherish them all their lives.  All our kittens come from Supreme Grand Champion lines.

To be a responsible breeder, I feel it is very important that every kitten is early altered before leaving for pet homes.  There is never an exception to this rule.  Also our cats are all negative for the HCM DNA Ragdoll gene.  Dedication and donations from the cat fancy made it possible for our breed to be researched and a gene identified.  I am proud to announce, that we do NOT work with positives and all our cats and kittens are negative for this gene.  We also test for FELV (Feline Leukemia) & FIV (Feline Aids) and all kitties are negative.  The well being of our cats and kittens is very important, therefore, we are a closed cattery and do not provide stud service or do not have visits when we have expectant moms or young unvaccinated kittens.

We are located 30 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio just south of the border into Northern Kentucky. We are in the Tri-state area (Kentucky / Ohio / Indiana). We do not ship cargo and one option is using an escort service for kitten delivery. Shipping and related expenses (carrier, health certificate) are additional. See Price & Terms for more info on shipping.

Please tell us about yourself, your family and your current pets.  It's important for us to know that our babies will be going to loving homes.  Also please let us know if you have a color, pattern and gender preference or have questions to make that decision. You can do this by filling out our Kitten Application. The link can be found on our Nursery page.

We are a small cattery with only a couple litters per year and so most of our kittens are reserved before they are even born sight unseen. To reserve next available pet quality kitten we require a $200 non-refundable deposit. Deposits are only transferable to our next litter for up to one year as long as you have not chosen a kitten. How our deposit list works is that we first notify those that have sent deposits as soon as we have available kittens. After the assessment period (up to 12 weeks), we offer first to those waiting for show/breeders and second to those waiting for show alters. Pet quality kittens are offered any time during the assessment period depending on when the quality is determined. Kittens will be priced accordingly. We go by the postmark date on the envelope or email to determine who will have next pick. Deposits are credited towards the balance when full payment is received.

All visits are by appointment and only after your kitten has had his/her first set of vaccinations. Upon request, an update with pictures on your kitten will be sent via email. Or you can view your kitten on the Nursery page.

Kittens leave us at approximately 12 weeks of age.  The time they leave usually always depends on how they are recovering after alter surgery.  Since altering is done prior to kittens leaving, it may affect the time for a visit and the time they go home.  Girls take a little longer to recover than the boys.

In most cases when prior arrangements have not been made, kittens need to be picked up within the week that they are ready. We will hold kittens for up to one week.  Scheduled pickup is usually made on the weekend, but we are flexible whenever possible.  We can and have met families within one hour from our home at no additional cost.  Just ask as we would like to make the transition for the family and the kitten as simple as possible.

If you have vacation plans, please be sure to time it when the kitten has been home for at least a month if at all possible.  It's better to bring the kitten home when you can devote time to him or her to get them accustomed to their new environment before long trips. Otherwise waiting for another litter is highly advisable when the timing is more suitable.

Lastly, please don't forget to bring a carrier and the balance in cash only. We do not accept any other form of payment on day of pickup.  If you would rather pay via check or money order, payment must be received by the time your kitten is 9 weeks old.

Pet Quality: Priced depending on gender and pattern plus sales tax.  The price does include the cost of spay or neuter surgery done by my vet before they leave for their new homes. Kittens are priced individually. Pet quality means that they may have a mismark or other flaw that would penalize or disqualify them in the show ring. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to reserve next available pet quality kitten. We do not ship pet quality kittens, however, you are more than welcome to fly here and take him or her back with you on the plane via cabin/under your seat. It may be possible to meet within an hours drive for no charge.

Show Quality Alter:  Priced depending on quality plus sales tax.  The price does include the cost of spay or neuter done by my vet before they leave our home.  Show quality means that they will also have show rights and be as close to the Ragdoll Standard as possible with near or perfect markings and no disqualifying faults.  A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the next available show quality alter kitten. We do not ship show alter quality kittens, however, you are more than welcome to fly here and take him or her back with you on the plane via cabin/under your seat. We also can meet up at a show for the cost of gas.

If you decide on a show alter and need assistance, I do encourage showing Keepurrs kittens.  I have found showing to be fun, exciting and rewarding.  It is a quick way to make new friends in the cat fancy that have similar interests.  If this interests you, visit TICA and CFA for cat show information.

Breed & Show:  Kittens are priced based on quality and only offered to TICA registered catteries in good standing.  An excellent reference from a reputatable well known breeder is required if I do not know you personally. If you are unable to pickup the kitten in person then they must be placed on non-stop flights or fly via cabin under seat using a hired escort.  All shipping expenses are the responsibility of the new owner.  A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the next available breeder quality kitten.

Retired Adults:  Priced based on quality and age plus sales tax.  Our retired adults must be picked up in person.  You are more than welcome to fly here and take him or her back with you on the plane via cabin/under your seat. They will be up to date on shots and spayed or neutered before leaving us.  A non-refundable deposit will be accepted to hold an adult until he/she is altered and ready to go home.  Once adults are altered for their new home, deposits are not transferable to another adult or kitten.

We reserve the right to refuse sale for any reason and at any time.

We use pine pellet type litter for our babies. We may gradually change litters to Fresh Step scoop if we feel the kittens are mature enough. A large high-sided litter box and a low-sided one are suggested. And if you end up buying one with a top, take the top off for the first couple weeks. Having one litter box per kitty plus one is the rule. Our kittens are accustomed to jingle balls, teaser wands and scratch posts with sisal rope. When purchasing a carrier, purchase an intermediate size big enough for the kitten as an adult. Kittens love the large condos/climbers with many perches, but buy a 4 foot or smaller one and save the taller ones for when kittens are older. Other items to purchase are nail clippers, grooming comb or slicker brush and stainless steel or porcelain bowls. Never use plastic dishes as they have been known to cause chin acne. All these items can be found at any of the pet store chains.
